To all the lovely people who commented on the photos I took on Friday - thank you so much for stopping in, and taking the time to comment! You can thank Jay for my posting - she sounded wistful in her comment here, and reminded me how fortunate I am to be in Vancouver. We're expecting rain today, so I'm glad I got the shots before the flowers got rained off. Now if only the allergies would go away….
Recovering From The Weekend
This past weekend was a whirlwind of activity - but the highlight definitely had to be the 3 hours I spent on the Yaletown section of the seawall, taking photographs of my VERY pregnant friend. She is one of those dear people who I don't get to see enough of. We walked the seawall, almost filled my memory card, and got some great shots of her. I've been going through the shots ever since, ruthlessly discarding the ones that aren't up to my standards, cropping & resizing the rest. Is it time consuming? Yes. Satisfying? Yes. Would I trade this for time in front of the TV? Not a chance.
The Voices in my Head Know How to Hold a Tune
I've had Skee-Lo's "I Wish" stuck in my head for the past 12 hours. Before that it was Duran Duran's "What Happens Tomorrow" and Gotan Project's "Vuelva Al Sur". I've got my own time traveling radio frequency in my head. Surely I'm not the only one who does this?
