For as long as I can remember, my birthday morning has started with a brief period of stillness while I hesitantly considered the fact that I was indeed officially one year older. To this day, there's a part of me that expects to feel different, but I don't. Not really.
I'm STILL waiting for that moment when I'll finally feel like a grown-up.

At least you have that period of stillness. My friends and family are firm believers in the fact that you get NO peace on your birthday, and are not considered fully a year older until you've been publicly humiliated.
If I'm not grossly mistaken,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Though you might not appreciate it, it's nice to be cogratulated, no? =)
As do I. :> Great blog ya got here, by the way.
Queenie - I promise - when your birthday roles around, I will send no humiliating things your way...
Kines - I love being congratulated! Thank you!
Anne - Thank you for the kind words. It's been a couple of weeks, and if anything, I feel even less adult-like. Especially when it's sunny and all I want to do is go play...
