Monday Morning Love List, #21

Tags: ,

Love - The amazing food we picked up from Vij's Rangoli on Friday night. The DS wanted to pick up spices for a dish he's creating later this week, and suggested we pick a few of the refrigerated take-out items for dinner later that night. I've had this type of cuisine before, but never at this calibre. I suspect I may get addicted. No wonder his restaurant had a 15-person lineup at 5:00, and the restaurant opened at 5:30!

Love - That I basically hibernated all weekend, with a brief trip to the library to return books and pick up a copy of Joanna Harris' My French Kitchen. I've recently re-discovered a fascination with food writing and have decided to indulge myself, one book at a time.

Ms. Harris is best known for her book Chocolat, which became a fabulous movie in 2000 and showcased the dreamy Johnny Depp and spectacular Juliette Binoche, as well as Judi Dench, Leslie Caron, Alfred Molina and Carrie-Anne Moss.

Love - That I now have almost a page of ideas for a multi-media (photography/collage/painting) project. Now to do the required footwork.

Not So Much - That the constant rain is setting so many people on edge. Yes, it's probably a good day to be a duck, and yes, I do feel like I ought to have webbed fingers and gills, but bitchin' about it won't make the sun come out.

Love - That right now there's a pot roast doing it's thing in the crockpot at home. Every once in a while I get hit by the domesticity bug. This seems to be one of those times..

Love - That I'm suffering very little TV withdrawal. Yeah!

Love - The possibilities a fresh week provides.

Love - All the amazing people who've visited and left comments this past week.

So... what's on your list today?
