Welcome to 2006...

Yes, well it's 2:57am and I'm heading to bed.

But before I do, let me tell you what happened in the Cin abode this evening....

We got some truly bad-for-us fast food.
Settled on to the couch with the intent to watch a movie.
Got caught by the OLN, damn them... and spent the next hour or so watching the Westminster Kennel Show. Yes, that's right. We watched dogs lope around Madison Square Gardens for an hour. Then, an episode of the Ewan McGregor road documentary.

OK time to watch the movie, right?

Nope. The second half of the dog show instead.
Finally, the movie! The Island. Ewan again. Yum.
11:59. People started howling and cheering.
The DS looked at me, smiled, wished me a happy new year. I wished him one back.
SMOOCH!
And.... back to the movie.

There. That's how we slipped into 2006. On the couch, cats by our side, the scarf finally finished and fringed.

I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Happy New Year everyone. May 2006 bring you health and happiness, courage, compassion and understanding. We could all use more of that now, couldn't we?

Happy New Year to you too Cin! I saw 2006 in...well...asleep! Yep I fell asleep watching a movie and woke up at 4am!

The Ewan McGregor round the world documentary is amazing! We have it on DVD and regularly sit down and watch the whole lot in one sitting!

happy new year! we welcomed 2006 pretty much the same way - only with a hammer on one hand, and a painting in the other!

I spent my new year's the same way. We were watching Hostage with Bruce Willis. At 11:57, we watched the countdown from Nathan Philips Square. Had a little smooch and back to the movie. They say that how you spend the new year is how you'll spend the rest of the year... If it means sitting in complete relaxed comfort smooching with Mr. Pink, I'm all for it! :)
