After what feels like months of liquid sunshine, we're finally getting some of the real stuff, and it's heaven.
The meowfia and I have been taking full advantage of it; they by going out on the balcony to catch new smells and toast their fur a little, I by tending to the few plants I kept from last year and considering what sort of trouble to cause in my little 6x6 space this year. Defintely some herbs again, but I'm also enthralled with the idea of a small Japanese maple. I'd love to do a fountain too, but so far all I've seen are the formed resin ones.
I'm heading over to Granville Island after work for fresh everything, so who knows? Maybe the plant shop there will inspire.

Balcony planting is so fun. There seem to be a lot of things done with rocks this year too - candles, oil lamps, electric lights all in natural stone. A lot of fountains seem huge. So much selection...find anything you like?
funny you should quote Machado too. Second time this week I've seen his words and never heard of him before this week.
Hoe you managed to pick up some nice bits and pieces for your garden space!
