It's Over

The detox that is. All else (such as cat cuddling, photography, endless library research and consumption of movies and books) will continue as normal. Really. I might even move on to the next phase of the plan to get healthy and start going to the gym on a regular basis. I promise nothing - I'm not a real fan of gym culture.

I'm very pleased that I managed to get through the full 12 days without cheating. It was tough. Lunchtruck would go past the grocery store to get fresh veggies after work, and text me "Do you need anything?" My immediate text back was always one word: "fudge."

He never brought it home.

Did he think I was kidding? I wouldn't have had any until this was over, I just wanted to smell it...

The funny is that now that I can have it, I've had no inclination to go out and get it. I've said no to white chocolate macadamia cookies, substandard chocolate bars, so-so pasta and fast food. The other thing I've noticed? I think my tastebuds must've hit reset during the detox, for I barely require 1 flat teaspoon of sugar in my tea...
